Amanda was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2009, and commenced her legal career with the Child & Youth's Advocates Office, where she focused on Youthful Offenders and First Nations Child Welfare Issues. In 2012 she joined the New Brunswick Legal Aid Services, where she serviced a heavy caseload of family files. Legal Aid provide Amanda an opportunity to develop trial skills, work with high conflict personalities, and develop a common sense negotiation style, that puts the focus back on the big picture.
Amanda understands the realities of family, and of blended families. She has been married for 9 years to her husband Matthew, has a two children and two dogs. She understands the hectic lifestyles of modern families!
Born in Russia and raised in Greece, Mae came to Canada when she was sixteen years old. She obtained her B.B.A. at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC in 2010 and her J.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2013.
Mae’s prior work experience includes working as a Corporate Specialist for Docutek, a legal search house in Fredericton, NB, as an Administration and Communications Manager for a large IT firm in Toronto, ON and as a Financial Services Manager for a bank in Vancouver, BC, where she earned an award as Top Customer Service Representative of the Year.
Mae completed her articling year with a Fredericton lawyer dedicated to a family and criminal law practice. Mae was called to the New Brunswick Bar in June of 2016. She concentrates her practice on family and criminal law.
When Mae takes on a case, and no matter where she shows up, she is fully equipped to go to battle. Her considerable knowledge, and intense personal investment allows her clients to acquire a well rounded advantage. She is tenacious in her investigation, and creative in her design of strategies, for the protection of her client’s best interest. With her multi-cultural background and diverse work experience, make no mistake, Mae is not afraid of a fight.
During her off time, Mae enjoys spending time with her family and she is proud to be growing roots in the Fredericton area.
